Demeris Bar-B-Q opened a new location, and wanted to revive their existing brand. Vara brought the brand alive with extensions to the look, and a whole new campaign in the space with multiple graphics: new menus, signage, decals, posters, sliding screen graphics, ice box graphics, apparel, a revived website, and much more.
Vara maintained the brand needs of Pyramid Breweries which included advertising, posters, billboards, coasters, and packaging
Osteria Mazzantini was a new Italian restaurant owned by Chef John Sheely. Vara designed the brand, signage, and all graphic materials in the space. Vara was also included in directing the interiors.
60 Degrees Mastercrafted was a Akaushi beef centered restaurant concept. Vara designed the branding and signage for the location.
Barbazzar is a new restaurant concept based around personalized chocolate, espresso, and smoothies. Vara designed the brand, it's extensions, packaging, and signage and materials for the restaurant itself.
Since the restaurant opened, in a mere 4 months, a second space was requested at a nearby mall. Vara is continuing her work on the brand, signage and space for the second barbazzar café currently.
Persedo uses innovative new distillation processes to remove more impurities from alcohol creating a cleaner, tastier spirit. Vara developed their branding, packaging, web presence, and location signage.
Athena came to Acumen with a high-end concept for a gun range and retail space. Vara took the logo they arrived with and built a brand around it. She created all of the signage for interior and exterior, display graphics, promotional items, packaging, brochures, apparel, and much more.
Boyert was a concept brought by the original creator of Athena, but this time for a more modern and friendly gun range. Vara designed the entire brand system; the logo, merchandise, packaging signage, interior and exterior finishes, interior and exterior graphics, wayfinding, and much more.
Cliffhanger is an alcoholic beverage line within the Persedo brand. The beverages use Persedo's special distillation for maximum taste. Persedo wanted a brand that would reflect the owners late father, Cliff, an international man of many adventures. Vara solved this problem by creating a different "Cliff" with a back story for each product line. The Cliff characters directly relate to the type of drink they appear on. Vara designed each of the brands, packaging, signage and some finishes for the office space.
Dole Juiced Game Concept
Dole wanted to create a game to teach children about the joy of nutrition. This depicts the initial concepting phase of illustrations Vara did to present to Dole.
One of Vara's first opportunities to do product design; Gripping Eyewear wanted a stand for their children's eyewear. A cute weighted vinyl toy was designed with magnetized paws for the eyewear to clip to.
Vara illustrated and designed flyers for Jane Maas's MadWomen lecture at the Junior League. The chosen flyer was the second one depicted. The author so loved this design, she made it the key graphic for the rest of her book tour.
