Vara's colorful life began with her fascination with art, which arose as soon as she could hold a crayon.

In 2000, she attended Savannah College of Art and Design on a portfolio scholarship. She discovered an intense love for photography, and received a great deal of recognition for her very first series. She also stengthened her illustrative skills, and began learning the fundamentals of design.

She later transfered to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she was able to more extensively develop her design skills, graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design.

After college she began her career at The M Line designing brands, print, packaging, and web materials. Later, she designed for many companies through freelance, and has worked for such great firms as Meat and Potatoes and Thompson Design Group. She has also pursued photography as an independent contractor, and has shot many talented models and entertainers.
