Client: Adcetera/Underbelly
Underbelly is a new restaurant opening in Houston, Texas. The direction with the identity was something that showed the history and the heart of Houston. I found inspiration in old archives of Houston maps and historical documents. I used touches from the typography and embellishments throughout my exploration in designing a logo for them.

Client: Adcetera
This is one of a great many explorations for the logo design of this new social networking/business site. The primary icon I focused on creating was the two talk boxes merging into a butterfly-like mark. I felt that the icon really brought the name and the use of the site to life.

Client: Cardinal Drywall, Inc./Kleis Design
Cardinal Drywall wanted a new brand. They very much liked more traditional, serifed typefaces, and red and black colors. It was requested to use the cardinal bird within the logo in some way. These were two of my first initial concepts. The first was a way of looking at the cardinal a little less literally. It incorporated the brackets as a far off cardinal illustrated. The grey bracket was to symbolize the shadow of the cardinal under the logo. The other concept, which is more literal, was a cardinal head drawn using a texture similar to drywall scraped across a surface. Cardinal Drywall's final logo is the second version with slightly different type.

Client: Curb Service
Curb Service is a fun modern band that has a very retro vibe. They're influenced by 50s music, and remake it in a fresh way. They wanted a logo that would make for a great sticker, t-shirt, or other application on it's own. My influences in this design were the 50s, classic cars, drive-in's, and of course, the pin-up. The model I used to create the pinup drive-in gal on the logo was the wife of one of the band members. This logo actually comes in multiple color combinations.

Client: Realty Merge
RealtyMerge is a new company hoping to create a new type of website that will allow buyers and realtors to more effectively merge together to match the right real estate with the right client. The mark they went with was one of my first concepts. It's a simple mark showing the real estate merging into an arrow of upward movement.
